The Life Cycle Approach

P5,600.00 inclusive of handout and certificate

The question before the pandemic crisis of today was “Do companies really need a business continuity plan? The best answer can come from only those who did their homework well in preparing a BCP and implemented the plan when disaster struck.

The next questions then would be, “Was the BC plan effective in restoring normal business-level operations? If so, how long?” These questions would have been answered from organizations that employed the BCP Life Cycle of analysis, solution design, implementation, testing & acceptance, and maintenance.

The organizational value of a Business Continuity Plan is anchored on meeting the two important objectives: (1) Survival and (2) Recovery in view of bringing back the organization to business-level operations in meeting stakeholder needs and interests.

This engaging online workshop is designed to provide participants with a BC plan development platform using the BCP Life Cycle. Accordingly, the web-based training sessions equip them with a structured methodology and tools & techniques in crafting, testing and maintenance of a BC Plan.

Overall Objective

The web-based training (WBT) workshop aims to engage and equip participants with knowledge, skills and tools on the following:

  1. Concept of business continuity and its value to the organization;
  2. Framework and structure of the Business Continuity Planning as a continuous process; and
  3. Methods, procedures and techniques to complete a Business Continuity Plan and its integration to the company’s business operation.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the WBT workshop, the participants will be able:

  1. To explain concept and importance of BC planning;
  2. To identify and prioritize mission-critical activities with a risk management approach; and
  3. To describe the steps in completing a BC plan that encompasses emergency preparedness, disaster recovery and restoration to business-level, if not normal, operations.
